Years of dreaming became a reality when Joui Wine opened the doors in December of 2023
We are a team of wine enthusiasts that want to share our passion with you through our curated retail wine selection, incredible bar program, chef driven small plates, wine club, tastings, parties, and events. We are in pursuit of knowledge. In pursuit of memorable hospitality. In pursuit of our next wine obsession. In pursuit of delight.
Owner, CMS Certified Sommelier, and mega wine nerd Lauren Gay leads the charge. After returning to the U.S. from her service in the United States Peace Corps, she honed her skills in the Los Angeles wine industry, working at Nancy Silverton’s Chi Spacca under the wine direction of Joe Bastianich. She has since worked with and managed award-winning wine programs in Las Vegas, San Francisco, and several cities in her home state of Ohio. Most recently, she got her hands dirty making wine in Napa for the 2020 harvest. In addition to Joui, she is the wine director for Tender Mercy, Sueño, and Dōzo, all located in downtown Dayton, Ohio.

Taste Buds
Thursdays // 5pm - 10pm
Put your wine knowledge to the test with our weekly, competitive blind tasting night called ‘Taste Buds.’ You’ll receive an anonymous flight of three wines. Guess the grape, vintage, region, and country. Whoever gets the most answers correct will receive a gift card. Wine club members receive 50% off.

Pata Roja Taqueria

We are honored to host Pata Roja Taqueria all the way from Cincinnati. The taco truck will be parked outside of Joui. Grab a taco, and come inside for a special curated menu of wines picked to pair perfectly with your meal.
